Job: ITS Project Manager

 Position Overview

The ITS Project Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing the projects and overseeing the staff who install, maintain, and repair intelligent transportation devices and related components/systems.

Responsibilities:

•    Management of ITS maintenance related projects dealing with system troubleshooting; anticipate failure modes and implement preventive or corrective measures; evaluate problems with the ITS devices, ITS communication systems, and direct staff in taking corrective action.
•    Provide upper-level troubleshooting and guidance. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers as needed to resolve equipment issues.
•    Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the ITS Technicians in the construction, preventive maintenance, and operations of ITS.
•    Coordinate with clients and provide status updates on equipment and project tasks.
•    Provide training, direction, and supervision necessary to prepare and maintain ITS staff for the installation, diagnostics, repairs, and operations of ITS equipment associated with their positions.
•    Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate personnel in the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronics
•    Give instructions in work procedures, safety practices, technical aspects, department policies and related requirements
•    Subject to call-out during off-duty ours to cover emergency situations

 Job Requirements:

•    Must pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screen.
•    Must have a valid Driver’s License, CDL a plus.
•    Must be capable of working outdoors.
•    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•    Ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
•    Experience configuring/programing network hardware devices a plus, but not required.
•    A positive and forward-thinking attitude with an interest in information technologies.

Desired education, training, certification:

•    Project Management Professional (PMP)
•    Engineering, IT, or other related technical program degree
•    ATSSA Traffic  Control Supervisor
